Sewing technology for sealing the filled sandbags

The high output of the SAQUICK and MAMMUT sandbag filling machines demands an equally quick way of sealing the filled sandbags.

Portable spring-loaded sewing machines for sewing tables usually for professional use, for example in mill operations, in agriculture and similar areas, are a perfect fit. We offer 2 identical sewing machines for bag sealing.

  • Fischbein model F 13 M and
  • New Long NP-7A

With this sewing technique, up to 30% more sand can be filled into the sack.

In addition, this creates a uniform sack shape, ideal for shoring.

Conventional sealing techniques require more bag material  and lead to an unsuitable bag shape for safe sandbag shoring. The sewn sandbags or silo bags are extremely easy to stack.

The sewing machine can be hung up weightlessly on the SAQUICK sewing table.(see graphic) The sewing table can be dismantled for transport and storage. The machine can be adjusted in working height with the spring balancer. This guarantees an ergonomic working posture.

The portable sewing machine is also used to sew strawberry fleece or geotextiles in an agricultural context.

The machines are suitable for sealing PP fabric bags, jute bags, paper bags or foil bags.

Advantages of sewing the filled sandbags:

By sewing the filled sacks, up to 30% more sand can be filled into the sack.

In addition, this creates a uniform sack shape, ideal for shoring.

Conventional sealing techniques require more bag material and lead to an unsuitable bag shape for safe sandbag shoring.
This is also a major disadvantage for stacking and storing.
